Nexus Student Ministry

Who are We?

Nexus is the Student Ministry here at Freedom Church which is available to all 6th - 12th Graders! We are a ministry of Freedom Church and are under the leadership of our Lead Pastor, Craig Campbell.

The mission at Nexus is this;

To Belong.
To Know.
To Grow.

And this directly correlates to Freedom’s Mission: "Seek the Lost, Disciple the Found & See Lives Change in Jesus Christ".

What to Expect at Nexus

Scripture

We value the Word of God and will allow for space to read and study the Scripture together.

Worship

We were created for worship, and our Nexus Worship Team will lead the students in worship to God with contemporary songs. Lyrics are displayed so the students can sing along easily.

Games

We value fellowship and spending time together so we have plenty of video games, sports, and table games for students to enjoy together!

There's always more to what we are doing at Nexus. And in addition to games, worship and fellowship, we also have a Snax Station with snacks and drinks available for $0.50 each. Sometimes there's even a special snack provided.

Youth Group

Nexus meets every Wednesday from 6:45pm – 8:30pm. Our meetings include a time of fellowship, where a Snax Station is open for snacks, there are also many different games available. We follow our fellowship time with a time of worship before moving into our lesson which is followed by LifeGroups, our small groups at Nexus where we discuss the lesson and talk about life together.

Sunday Mornings

Nexus also meets on Sunday Mornings during our Loft and Lounge Sunday Schools, during the morning service. Loft is for 5th-6th graders and the Lounge is for 7th – 8th graders.

LifeGroups

Every Wednesday evening, after worship and hearing a brief message, teenagers break down into LifeGroups. LifeGroups are small group settings based on age where teens can get real with one another, discuss issues, encourage, pray and search the Scripture together.

Friday Night Recharge

Friday Night Recharges are monthly fun meetings.

Saturate

Saturate is the yearly Youth Conference that we go to, hosted by Elim Gospel Church in Lima, NY. At Saturate, teens can expected to be saturated in the presence of God through worship, fellowship and engaging teaching. Saturate happens each November, and we begin fundraising early in September!

Missions

Nexus is involved with Missions as we reach out to our community and the world! We have served on missions teams in Lockport, Buffalo, NYC, and Mexico! Christ's commission of going to the ends of the Earth involves all of us, even teens!
